Office of Naval Intelligence

The Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) is the leading provider of maritime intelligence to the U.S. Navy and joint warfighting forces, as well as national decision makers and other consumers in the Intelligence Community. Established in 1882, ONI specializes in the collection, analysis, production and dissemination of vital, timely and accurate scientific, technical, geopolitical and military intelligence information for key consumers worldwide.

Nimitz Warfare Analysis Center 

The Nimitz Warfare Analysis Center is the U.S. Navy’s pre-eminent center for operational and strategic analysis of issues and events with strategic implications within the maritime domain. The center supports fleet commanders and national policymakers with timely, relevant, and predictive analysis of adversary naval forces to achieve decision advantage in peace, crisis, and war.

Farragut Technical Analysis Center

The Farragut Technical Analysis Center is the U.S. Navy’s Center of Excellence for strategic scientific and technical intelligence (S&TI) analysis of foreign technologies, sensors, weapons, platforms, combat systems, C4ISR, and cyber capabilities. In addition to its all-source capabilities, Farragut conducts ONI’s foreign materiel exploitation and signal analysis, and is home to the National Acoustic Intelligence Laboratory (NAIL).

The Kennedy Maritime Analysis Center is the Navy's Center of Excellence for civil maritime, counternarcotics, and adversary malign influence activities expertise. Kennedy expertise informs policy and plans at the strategic level while integrating at the operational and tactical levels in support of day-to-day competition while remaining “at the ready as ONI’s action arm” for crisis and/or conflict. The center integrates extensive maritime industry expertise, proven operational intelligence experience, and innovative analytical tools and techniques to provide National, Navy, and Partner/Allies decision-makers a decisive advantage.

The Hopper Global Communications Center provides information technology and services to the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), its subordinate Commands and Navy shore activities by enabling the rapid delivery of intelligence to customers via an architecture that employs new technologies and applications capable of moving intelligence in an open, mission-enabling and information-sharing environment.
