Images of Washington, D.C.The military and civilian personnel of ONI work in locations around the world, supporting operational commanders and war fighters; however, most employees work at the modern National Maritime Intelligence facility, which is located just outside Washington, Dc.  The NMIC features convenient access to the Washington area’s Metro rail system and major highways.  The Washington, DC metropolitan area offers a wealth of activities, festivals and events, restaurants, and recreational opportunities.  ONI employees working at the NMIC enjoy the scenic beauty and historical significances of living and working in our nation’s capital on a daily basis.  National attractions include:

ONI celebrated its 137th anniversary recognizing 10 civilians and five Sailors with awards in an annual ceremony.

 

Captain Michael Hannan assumed command of the Nimitz Operational Intelligence Center on May 17, relieving Capt. Sean Kelley, who served as the Nimitz commanding officer for the last two years.
