Captain Pete Koprowski, USN

Kennedy Maritime Analysis Center

 

Koprowski assumed command of the Kennedy Maritime Analysis Center in July 2022.

 

A native of Long Island, New York, Capt. Pete Koprowski began his naval career upon graduating from the United States Naval Academy in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in oceanography as an intelligence officer.

 

Koprowski’s operational assignments include Carrier Air Wing Two aboard USS CONSTELLATION (CV-64) where he served as the Intelligence Collection Manager for the strike group. A series of assignments supporting both Navy and Joint Special Operations forces, holding several positions within Intelligence, Planning, and Interagency Liaison directorates. Where, during these assignments, Koprowski forward deployed in support of various named and global combat operations as a JSOTF J2.

 

Koprowski’s shore assignments include exposure to the Indo-Pacific with tours at the Joint Intelligence Center Pacific and Commander Pacific Fleet. Exposure to Type Commander staffs with assignments at Navy Information Forces and Navy Expeditionary Combat Command. As well as exposure to reserve forces while assigned to Commander Navy Reserve Forces (CNRFC). While aboard CNRFC, Koprowski was selected as the Director of the Combined Joint Intelligence Operations Center – Afghanistan serving in forward locations in support of OPERATION RESOLUTE SUPPORT.  

 

Koprowski holds a master’s degree in operations research from the Naval Post Graduate School. His awards include the Navy Intelligence Community’s Layton Award for Leadership, the Navy Intelligence Professional’s award for leadership, Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal (7), Meritorious Service Medal, and various other personal and unit awards and citations.
